My name is David Jade Alpine.

Born in 1997, I was raised in the quiet arms of the French countryside, as a child of distant lands. My father, a Swiss-German rock, steadfast and strong. My mother, a whisper of ocean winds from distant Australian shores.

During my teenage years, I stumbled across a vintage video of Bob Dylan at the 1964 Newport Festival. This performance knocked my socks off. A spark in the dark. It truly blew me away.

From that day on, I’ve been writing songs regularly. It has become my passion. I’m trying to find each hidden melody. There’s a song in everything, in fact I recently found out some people are even walking songs.

At eighteen, duty called me to the land of my father—a country shaped by the spirit of peace, nestled among lakes and the Alps. I served for 432 days until I became a sergeant.

Since completing my military service, Switzerland has been my home.

I kept writing music on my own throughout my young adult life until January 2025, when I pledged to record my songs and share them with a wider audience.

Something that brings light in this obscure world, or at least a little comfort.
